BannerFrom September 20 to October 11, GRSF hosted a series of online modules that offered practical guidance on enhancing road safety in Asia. Organized under the Bloomberg Philanthropies Initiative for Global Road Safety (BIGRS) program, these virtual learning sessions were part of the workshop “Essentials of Road Safety Engineering”. Featuring “real life” black spots and road safety audits, this 7-module workshop presented the theory of road safety engineering and backed it up with practical “real world” case studies. The final module also featured an interactive activity for participants to share their experiences with each other.

The workshop was facilitated by Phillip Jordan, a road safety expert with broad experience from his time with a major road authority in Australia, and more recently from consulting (in South East, South and Central Asia, the Pacific, Africa, and the Middle East).  Participants also submitted their feedback on the workshop.
