A brief overview of the Data for Road Incident Visualization, Evaluation, and Reporting (DRIVER) System
DRIVER is a web-based and open-source system for geospatial recording and visualizing road crashes. It is a way to facilitate coordination between multiple agencies, as well as a means to standardize terms & definitions for reporting crash data. It is a suite of visualization tools to support data-driven decisions and a platform for monitoring the impact of interventions.
DRIVER is available for free on World Bank’s open-source code repository. It is available wherever Open Street Map is available. The felds/variable are easily modifiable. DRIVER can be adapted and maintained by local developer.
